Set in the dip of the gulf that bears the same name, the fishing port is a very fashionable place to visit..

With a lively nightlife around the famous marinawhere celebrities enjoy playing a game of pétanque, and many café terraces where you will enjoy stopping to watch the world go by. Wander at leisure through the old town, explore the citadel, a stunning monument from the Genoese period, and also the beautiful Roman church of Santa Maria Assunta, before sipping an aperitif in the Place des Portes.

Saint Florent is the starting point of the beach path that stretches the length oh the Agriates coast, 40 km of which is protected by the Conservatoire du Littoral.

From St Florent, go and explore the villages :

Oletta, which has welcome one of the most famous french painter of the 20th century Maurice Utrillo, is located on a cape offering a wonderful panorama above Saint-Florent and its gulf.
To be visited : the Saint-André church going back to the 18th century.

Murato, a picturesque village,is one of the most important village of the Nebbio. There, you’ll find two really nice churches : San Michele from the 12th century and the Annonciation with a painting from the 16th century. This last one is a work of art from the Venetian School representing Marie-Madeleine.
Murato is well-known too for its bread made like in the old days : don’t hesitate to taste it !
