Bonifacio, the extreme southern tip of France and sentinel of Corsica, illuminates the strait joining the two parts of the western Mediterranean with its white cliffs.

These cliffs make up a vast natural façade across which stand the Lavezzi and Cerbicales archipelagos, renowned for their exceptional sea beds.
Bonifacio covers 70 kilometers of coastline, along which you’ll find many crystalline water beaches, such as the Rondinara, the Balistra, the gulfs of Santa Manza, Canetto, and Petit Sperone. In Bonifacio, the imposing citadel, the picturesque upper part of the town, the harbour hidden at the far end of the never-ending bottleneck welcome many visitors, hence the joyful traffic jams in high season. Numerous boatmen will offer to take you on boat trips along the inevitable Bonifacio’s mouths.

Among sports lovers, Bonifacio attracts diving addicts for the high quality of its sea bed, windsurfers will find there Corsica’s best windsurfing spot, and golfers also come from all around the world to walk the greens of the unique 18-hole circuit on the island, at Sperone Estate.

Those in search of quiet will love Pianottoli-Caldarello, a lovely village built on a plateau strewn with chaotic rocks, between Roccapina Pass and Figari. This place is renowned for its troglodytic houses and Geonese tower, built on the tip of a rock towering over Chevanu Cove, from where you have unrestricted view over the wild coast running from Roccapina to the gulf of Ventilegne.
