Scala di Santa Regina
This vast region, whose Calacuccia is the main village, is a little aside the main transport axe. Don’t fail to visit it !
To get there follow the famous footpath of the Scala di Santa Regina. At the end of this "canyon" , you’ll reach the artificial Calacuccia Lake, and walk through the Valdoniello forest up to the Vergio Pass. This very picturesque itinerary can be prolonged until Porto. The site abounds with hiking trails, such as the one along Radule sheepfolds or the climb to Pagia Orba, to name but a few.
