bonifacio

A turquoise-coloured water, some white sandy beaches, a profusion of green…

Heading for Bonifacio, go off and discover the beaches you may have dreamed of, hidden in this indented coastline of granite rocks smoothed by the sea, exotic scenery every bit as good as those in the Indian ocean : turquoise-coloured water white sandy beaches, a profusion of green…

Palombaggia beach, the gulf of Santa Giulia, Rondinara cove, the gulf of Santa Manza, Piantarella beach… an ode to swimming, with beaches amidst the rocks, laze in the sun…This is heaven on earth !

Go and see Bonifacio : an unusual geographical sight. This town is perched on limestone cliffs where the white colour makes a real contrast with the turquoise blue sea : a must in your tour in the south of the island. Facing Sardinia, the town is literally taken over by tourists during the high season but it is well worth a visit. Its port, its old town overlooking the sea, its steps relating its history, its unspoiled creeks making it a really unusual place.

Continue the visit of the town by the sea, thanks to several boats providing excursions. Here you will get to the lighthouse of the Madonetta, the “helm of Corsica”, the steps of the king of Aragon, the numerous caves, including Sdragonato with an emerald blue bottom and whose opening at the top is in the shape of Corsica.

Are you looking for some more unspoiled and preserved nature ? Would you like being Robinson Crusoe?

So let’s head to the Lavezzi and Cavallo islands : two paradisiac islands…

At nightfall the day is not over, you won’t have time enough to enjoy all the bar terraces, hotels, ice-cream parlours and restaurants on the marina or in the old town, with their musics, as events allow, in the scents of the Corsican evening.
