"Extreme" journeys

One of the most magical way of reaching Corsica is for sure the sailing boat.

Indeed even those places that you thought were inaccessible by road take on another dimension when viewed from the sea…

Below the sails, close to the coast you can easily see a ballet of dolphins which scoff at our presence, meet up with cormorants which dry off on the rocks or be followed by a glide of flying fish…

It will be so beautiful that you won’t return to land after that ?

There are about ten open berth moorings but choose well, some are exposed to gusts of wind from the west which are often unpredictable!

The sea is not always calm, the Mediterranean is often changeable, so do not hesitate to request the services of an experienced skipper. Have a nice sail !

Are you looking for rocky cavities, sea grottos, faults, would you like to glide between two cliffs ?

Well then choose an excursion on a jet-ski !

Almost every seaside resort has its jet-ski club with discovery circuits for the day or some turnkey circuits over a few days.

With a jet-ski you can alternate speed in the open sea and slowly towards the beaches.

Here we prefer the new jet-skis which are not as noisy and do not pollute as much, as we are environmental friendly…

Are you a good walker ? Well at least you know of the reputation of the GR20 ?

This great hiking path crosses Corsica diagonally.

Here it is sure you will feel some real thrills!

Go over the Cintu or the Rotondu mountains, go across the breathtaking Gorges, regain the lakes by the steep paths… However do be reassured security equipment have been installed, the regular upkeep of the trail, numerous refuges will limit the risks and the difficulties.

But don’t worry, there is another way to participate in the GR20 : the family trek, much more "laid-back" and safer.

There are 1500 kilometres of paths, but you won’t be obliged to do them all!!!

For a complete change of scenery, choose to go diving : Corsica’s sea beds have an abundance of protected species, so follow the guides: groupers, brown meagre, common dentex, sea bream and be part of the group…

As you dive into this crystal-clear water and just open your eyes you will have the feeling you belong to another species!

Fauna and flora, vivid colours, will give you the sensation you are an actor in a moovie, in another dimension : you will not forget it.

You could also try to enjoy Corsica in a different way, EXTREMELY, by private aircraft above the peaks, sea kayak to otherwise inaccessible creeks, in 4x4 trek on shortcuts, poney trekking along the shepherds or mule tracks and by bicycle following the steep coast roads or the paths among the villages.
